he Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 10 board examination results for the academic year 2024–25. The results were released today, May 13, at 1:30 PM IST, bringing relief and excitement to over 24 lakh students across the country.
This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 93.66%, reflecting a slight increase from the previous year’s 93.60%. Out of the 23,71,939 students who appeared for the exams conducted between February 15 and March 18, 2025, a total of 22,21,636 students successfully passed.

Girls Outperform Boys
Continuing the trend of recent years, girls have outshined boys in the Class 10 examinations. The pass percentage for girls is 95%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 92.63%. This marks a 2.37 percentage point lead for girls over boys.
Top Performing Regions
Among the various regions, Trivandrum and Vijayawada have emerged as the top performers, each achieving an impressive pass percentage of 99.79%. These regions have consistently demonstrated high academic performance in recent years.
High Achievers
The 2025 results also highlight the accomplishments of high-performing students:
- Over 1.99 lakh students scored above 90%.
- More than 45,000 students secured marks above 95%.
Students in Compartment Category
Approximately 1,41,353 students, accounting for 5.96% of the total candidates, have been placed in the compartment category. These students will have the opportunity to reappear for the examinations to improve their scores.
