Ayodhya is poised for a significant spiritual event as the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of the Ram Darbar and 14 newly constructed temples within the Ram Mandir complex is scheduled for June 5, 2025. This ceremony marks the culmination of the temple’s construction, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Ganga Dussehra.
Ceremony Schedule and Rituals
- May 30, 2025: Preparatory rituals commence with the installation of a Shiva Lingam in the newly built Shiv temple within the complex.
- June 3–5, 2025: A three-day religious festival featuring various Vedic rituals and ceremonies.
- June 5, 2025: Main Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Darbar and 14 additional temples.
The ceremonies will be conducted in strict accordance with Vedic traditions, overseen by 101 Vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya. Key rituals will include the worship of the Yagyashala, recitation of the Valmiki Ramayana, chanting of mantras, readings from the four Vedas, and other traditional ceremonies.
Guest List and Attendance
Unlike the grand January 2024 ceremony, which saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several VIPs in attendance, the June 5 event will be entirely spiritual in nature—led by saints, Vedic scholars, and devotees, with no political participation.
Significance of the Event
The consecration ceremony signifies the completion of the Ram Mandir’s construction, a monumental project that holds immense religious and cultural importance for devotees worldwide. The installation of the Ram Darbar and the 14 new temples within the complex represents a significant milestone in the temple’s development.
The upcoming consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir is set to be a deeply spiritual event, marking a new chapter in the temple’s history and offering devotees an opportunity to partake in a momentous occasion.
